Weeks has co-authored Vienna’s Conscience: Close-Ups and Conversations after [Hitler](/source/Hitler) (2007), which focuses on the fiftieth anniversary of the [annexation of Austria](/source/Anschluss) by Germany in 1938 and Austrian efforts to confront the country’s [World War II](/source/World_War_II) past.<ref name="HSI Contributor" /><ref name="HSI Founder" /> In addition, he has authored over a dozen scholarly articles, among others on the German colonial wars, [Leni Riefenstahl](/source/Leni_Riefenstahl), and the [Weimar Republic](/source/Weimar_Republic).<ref name=":0" /> Together with the War Crimes Section of the [Canadian Department of Justice](/source/Department_of_Justice_(Canada)), he conducted archival research to aid in the post-war trials of Austrian [National Socialist](/source/National_Socialist)s.
