**Gregorio Byington Duvivier** (born 11 April 1986) is a Brazilian actor, comedian and poet.[1] He is known by his works in film and theater, being one of the members of the comedy troupe [Porta dos Fundos](/source/Porta_dos_Fundos).[2]

## Biography

Duvivier was born in [Rio de Janeiro](/source/Rio_de_Janeiro), the son of musician and visual artist [Edgar Duvivier](/source/Edgar_Duvivier) and singer [Olivia Byington](/source/Olivia_Byington), and his siblings are John, Theodora and Barbara Duvivier. He is also the nephew of actress [Bianca Byington](/source/Bianca_Byington). On his paternal side, he descends from the commander Theodore Duvivier, one of the promoters of the urbanization of the neighborhoods of [Copacabana](/source/Copacabana%2C_Rio_de_Janeiro) and [Leme](/source/Leme%2C_Rio_de_Janeiro) ([Rio de Janeiro](/source/Rio_de_Janeiro)), in the late nineteenth century.[3][4][5] On his maternal side, the philanthropist [Pérola Byington](/source/P%C3%A9rola_Byington) was his great-great-grandmother.[6]

At age 9, he studied acting at Tablado school. One year before entering college, Duvivier joined [Marcelo Adnet](/source/Marcelo_Adnet), [Fernando Caruso](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fernando_Caruso&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Rafael Queiroga](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rafael_Queiroga&action=edit&redlink=1) in the comedy show Z.É.- Zenas Emprovisadas.[7] He graduated in Literature at [Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro](/source/Pontif%C3%ADcia_Universidade_Cat%C3%B3lica_do_Rio_de_Janeiro).

After being in a relationship for five years, Duvivier and [Clarice Falcão](/source/Clarice_Falc%C3%A3o) formally married in February 2014. Their marriage ended in November that same year.[8] In 2017, he began dating TV host a and journalist [Giovanna Nader](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Giovanna_Nader&action=edit&redlink=1). The two married in 2018 and went on to have two daughters.[9]

He has previously identified as an [atheist](/source/Atheism).[10]

In May 2017, he and his troupe started the program *[Greg News com Gregório Duvivier](/source/Greg_News_com_Greg%C3%B3rio_Duvivier)* inspired by [HBO](/source/HBO)'s own satirical news magazine *[Last Week Tonight with John Oliver](/source/Last_Week_Tonight_with_John_Oliver)* in collaboration with HBO Latin America.[11]
