# Graham Stokoe

**Graham Lloyd Stokoe** (born 17 December 1975) is an English former [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played in [the Football League](/source/The_Football_League) for [Hartlepool United](/source/Hartlepool_United_F.C.) and [Stoke City](/source/Stoke_City_F.C.).[1]

## Career

Stokoe was born in [Newcastle-upon-Tyne](/source/Newcastle-upon-Tyne) and began his career with [Newcastle United](/source/Newcastle_United_F.C.) before joining [Stoke City](/source/Stoke_City_F.C.) in 1995.[1] He struggled to settle in the area and moved back up north to [Hartlepool United](/source/Hartlepool_United_F.C.) where he played eight matches in [1995–96](/source/1995%E2%80%9396_in_English_football). He made two substitute appearances for Stoke in [1996–97](/source/1996%E2%80%9397_Stoke_City_F.C._season) both away at [Portsmouth](/source/Portsmouth_F.C.) and then [Huddersfield Town](/source/Huddersfield_Town_A.F.C.).[1] He left in 1998 and made a return to [Hartlepool United](/source/Hartlepool_United_F.C.) playing 23 matches for [Mick Tait](/source/Mick_Tait)'s side in [1998–99](/source/1998%E2%80%9399_in_English_football). He later played for non-league [Blyth Spartans](/source/Blyth_Spartans_A.F.C.).[1]
