In 1954, when the [Free Territory of Trieste](/source/Free_Territory_of_Trieste) was dissolved and Zone B was assigned to [Yugoslavia](/source/Socialist_Federal_Republic_of_Yugoslavia), Gradin (together with [Abitanti](/source/Abitanti), [Belvedur](/source/Belvedur), [Brezovica pri Gradinu](/source/Brezovica_pri_Gradinu), [Koromači–Boškini](/source/Koroma%C4%8Di%E2%80%93Bo%C5%A1kini), [Močunigi](/source/Mo%C4%8Dunigi), [Pregara](/source/Pregara), and [Sirči](/source/Sir%C4%8Di)) was originally assigned to the [Socialist Republic of Croatia](/source/Socialist_Republic_of_Croatia).
