**Onema Grace Geyoro** (born 2 July 1997) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) for [Women's Super League](/source/Women's_Super_League) club [London City Lionesses](/source/London_City_Lionesses). Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, she plays for the [France national team](/source/France_women's_national_football_team).

## Club career

### Youth

Geyoro was born in [Kolwezi](/source/Kolwezi) and moved with her family from the [Democratic Republic of the Congo](/source/Democratic_Republic_of_the_Congo) to France when she was a baby. At the age of eight, she started playing with the boys of SMOC St Jean-de-Braye, based in [Orléans](/source/Orl%C3%A9ans).[2] She was recognised with an award of distinction, along with 26 other people, by the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee of Orléans in January 2013.[3]

### Paris Saint-Germain

In 2012, at the age of 15, Geyoro joined the youth department of [Paris Saint-Germain](/source/Paris_Saint-Germain_F.C._(women)).[2] She made her debut for Paris Saint-Germain's senior team in October 2014 in a 2–0 victory over [Issy](/source/GPSO_92_Issy), coming on as a substitute for [Fatmire Alushi](/source/Fatmire_Alushi) in the 76th minute.[4] In March 2017, she signed a contract extension until June 2021.[5]

On 27 May 2018, Geyoro scored her first goals for Paris Saint-Germain, netting a brace in a 3–0 victory over [Soyaux](/source/ASJ_Soyaux) which guaranteed the club a spot in the [2018–19 UEFA Women's Champions League](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_UEFA_Women's_Champions_League).[6] On 15 September 2023, she signed a contract extension with the club until June 2028.[7]

### London City Lionesses

On 5 September 2025, Geyoro joined newly promoted [Women's Super League](/source/Women's_Super_League) club [London City Lionesses](/source/London_City_Lionesses) on a [world record fee](/source/List_of_most_expensive_women's_association_football_transfers) of £1.4m.[8]

### Youth

In July 2012, Geyoro represented [France under-16](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=France_women%27s_national_under-16_football_team&action=edit&redlink=1) at the 2012 Nordic Under-16 Cup. She played full matches in the 1–0 loss to [Sweden](/source/Sweden_women's_national_under-16_football_team),[9] the 4–0 victory over [Iceland](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Iceland_women%27s_national_under-16_football_team&action=edit&redlink=1),[10] and the 3–0 victory over [Norway](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Norway_women%27s_national_under-16_football_team&action=edit&redlink=1).[11] In the 5–1 victory over [Finland](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Finland_women%27s_national_under-16_football_team&action=edit&redlink=1) she came on as a 52nd-minute substitute.[12]

In March 2013, Geyoro represented [France under-17](/source/France_women's_national_under-17_football_team) in the second round of the [2013 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualification](/source/2013_UEFA_Women's_Under-17_Championship_qualification) campaign, making one appearance as a substitute in the 2–0 victory over [Finland](/source/Finland_women's_national_under-17_football_team).[13]

In July 2015, Geyoro represented [France under-19](/source/France_women's_national_under-19_football_team) at the [2015 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship](/source/2015_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship). In the group stage, she played full matches in the 1–0 victory over [Denmark](/source/Denmark_women's_national_under-19_football_team)[14] and in the 1–0 victory over [Sweden](/source/Sweden_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[15] but sat on the bench for the 4–0 victory over [Israel](/source/Israel_women's_national_under-19_football_team).[16] She also sat on the bench for the semi-final against [Spain](/source/Spain_women's_national_under-19_football_team), which France lost 5–4 in a [penalty shoot-out](/source/Penalty_shoot-out_(association_football)).[17]

In September 2015, Geyoro represented France under-19 in the [qualifying round of the 2016 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship](/source/2016_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship_qualification#Qualifying_round). She played a full match in the 2–0 victory over [Bosnia and Herzegovina](/source/Bosnia_and_Herzegovina_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[18] came on as a substitute in the 70th minute of the 7–0 victory over [Faroe Islands](/source/Faroe_Islands_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[19] and played a full match and scored a goal in the 6–0 victory over [Czech Republic](/source/Czech_Republic_women's_national_under-19_football_team).[20] In April 2016, she was in France's squad for the [elite qualification round](/source/2016_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship_qualification#Elite_round), playing a full match in the 3–0 victory over [Portugal](/source/Portugal_women's_national_under-19_football_team)[21] and starting and scoring in the 2–0 victory over [Scotland](/source/Scotland_women's_national_under-19_football_team).[22] In July 2016, played with France under-19 in the [2016 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship](/source/2016_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship). In the group stage she played all three matches, starting in the 1–0 loss to [Norway](/source/Norway_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[23] in the 6–0 victory over [Slovakia](/source/Slovakia_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[24] and in the 2–1 victory over [Netherlands](/source/Netherlands_women's_national_under-19_football_team) in which she scored the second goal.[25] She played the full match of the semi-final 3–1 victory over [Switzerland](/source/Switzerland_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[26] and scored the first goal in the 2–1 victory over Spain in the final.[27]

In March 2016 France under-19 competed in the [2016 La Manga Women Tournament](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2016_La_Manga_Women_Tournament&action=edit&redlink=1),[28] in which Geyoro started in the 2–1 victory over Norway,[29] came on as a substitute in the 3–1 victory over [Italy](/source/Italy_women's_national_under-19_football_team),[30] and scored the only goal in the 1–0 victory over Sweden.[31]

In November 2016, Geyoro was selected for [France](/source/France_women's_national_under-20_football_team)'s squad for the [2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup](/source/2016_FIFA_U-20_Women's_World_Cup).[32][33] She played in a friendly against [Canada](/source/Canada_women's_national_under-20_soccer_team) in Australia ahead of the tournament.[34] In the tournament's group stage she played all 3 matches, with France drawing 0–0 against the [United States](/source/United_States_women's_national_under-20_soccer_team)[35] and 2–2 against [Ghana](/source/Ghana_women's_national_under-20_football_team),[36] before beating [New Zealand](/source/New_Zealand_women's_national_under-20_football_team) 2–0 to qualify for the next stage.[37] In the knock-out stage she played the full matches in the quarter-final 1–0 victory over [Germany](/source/Germany_women's_national_under-20_football_team)[38] and in the semi-final 2–1 victory over [Japan](/source/Japan_women's_national_under-20_football_team).[39] In the final, Geyoro played the full match against [North Korea](/source/North_Korea_women's_national_under-20_football_team) and scored France's only goal in the 3–1 defeat.[40][41] She was one of the only players to play every minute of the tournament.[42]

### Senior

On 22 January 2017, Geyoro debuted for the [French senior team](/source/France_women's_national_football_team) in a 2–0 friendly win over [South Africa](/source/South_Africa_women's_national_football_team), coming on as a substitute for [Sandie Toletti](/source/Sandie_Toletti) in the 69th minute.[43] In March 2017, she represented France at the [2017 SheBelieves Cup](/source/2017_SheBelieves_Cup),[44] playing full matches in the 2–1 victory over [England](/source/England_women's_national_football_team)[45] and in the 0–0 draw with [Germany](/source/Germany_women's_national_football_team).[46] In July 2017, she was selected for France's squad for [UEFA Women's Euro 2017](/source/UEFA_Women's_Euro_2017) and was the youngest player in the squad.[2] She played full matches in the group stage 1–1 draws against [Austria](/source/Austria_women's_national_football_team)[47] and [Switzerland](/source/Switzerland_women's_national_football_team),[48] as well as the 1–0 quarter-final loss to England.[49] In March 2018, she represented France at the [2018 SheBelieves Cup](/source/2018_SheBelieves_Cup),[50] playing full matches in the 1–1 draw with the [United States](/source/United_States_women's_national_soccer_team)[51] and in the 3–0 victory over Germany.[52] On 4 March 2019, she scored her debut goal for the French senior team, converting the 4th goal in France's 6–0 victory over [Uruguay](/source/Uruguay_women's_national_football_team).[53]
