**Gordon Wild** (born 16 October 1995) is a German professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [left winger](/source/Left_winger).

## College career

Wild played one year of [college soccer](/source/College_soccer_in_the_United_States) at [University of South Carolina Upstate](/source/University_of_South_Carolina_Upstate) in 2015, before moving to the [University of Maryland](/source/Maryland_Terrapins_men's_soccer), where he played for two years.[1]

## Professional career

Ahead of the [2018 MLS SuperDraft](/source/2018_MLS_SuperDraft), Wild signed a [Generation Adidas](/source/Generation_Adidas) contract with [MLS](/source/MLS).[2] On 17 January 2018, Wild was selected 37th overall in the SuperDraft by [Atlanta United](/source/Atlanta_United).[3]

In February 2018, Wild was loaned to [United Soccer League](/source/United_Soccer_League) side [Charleston Battery](/source/Charleston_Battery).[4] He made his professional debut on 17 March 2018 as an 80th-minute substitute in a 1–0 loss to [FC Cincinnati](/source/FC_Cincinnati_(2016%E2%80%9318)).[5]

On 17 July 2019, Wild was waived by Atlanta.[6] Wild was signed a week later by [D.C. United](/source/D.C._United).[7] He made his first non-official appearance for D.C. United in a friendly against [Olympique de Marseille](/source/Olympique_de_Marseille) on 24 July 2019.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*][8]

Since Wild has signed with DC United he has appeared numerous times for D.C. United's USL affiliate [Loudoun United](/source/Loudoun_United_FC). Wild debuted for Loudoun on 28 July 2019, in a 3–0 win against [Louisville City FC](/source/Louisville_City_FC).[9] He scored three goals against the [Swope Park Rangers](/source/Swope_Park_Rangers) on 25 September 2019, earning him a hat trick; the first hat trick in Loudoun United's history.[10]

On 19 January 2020, Wild announced his departure from D.C. United via Instagram.

On 25 February 2020, Wild joined [LA Galaxy](/source/LA_Galaxy).[11] Wild made his first MLS appearance off the bench against the [Portland Timbers](/source/Portland_Timbers) in the MLS is Back tournament, registering an assist for a [Javier Hernandez](/source/Javier_Hernandez) goal.[12][*[failed verification](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability)*] He was released by LA Galaxy on 30 November 2020.[13]

On 11 February 2021, Wild signed with [USL Championship](/source/USL_Championship) side [Indy Eleven](/source/Indy_Eleven).[14] Following the 2021 season, it was announced that Wild's contract option was declined by Indy Eleven.[15]

He signed with [MSV Duisburg](/source/MSV_Duisburg) in the summer of 2022.[16] On 29 January 2023, Wild's contract with Duisburg was terminated by mutual consent.[17] Two days later, he moved to [1. FC Bocholt](/source/1._FC_Bocholt).[18]

Wild signed for TVD Velbert in January 2024 and left a week later.[19]
