# Goodyear Lake

**Goodyear Lake** is a [man-made](/source/Man-made) [lake](/source/Lake) created by the building of the Colliersville Dam. The lake is located southwest of the hamlet of [Portlandville](/source/Portlandville,_New_York) in the Town of [Milford](/source/Milford,_New_York) in [Otsego County, New York](/source/Otsego_County,_New_York).

## Fishing

Fish species present in the lake are [bluegill](/source/Bluegill), [black bullhead](/source/Black_bullhead), [largemouth bass](/source/Largemouth_bass), [chain pickerel](/source/Chain_pickerel), [pumpkinseed sunfish](/source/Pumpkinseed), [rock bass](/source/Rock_bass), [smallmouth bass](/source/Smallmouth_bass), [walleye](/source/Walleye), and [yellow perch](/source/Yellow_perch). The lake is accessed by a state-owned carry down [boat launch](/source/Slipway) off [NY 28](/source/New_York_State_Route_28) in Portlandville and one off Silliman Cove Road with parking for 15 cars, as well as various areas to shore fish. There is also hotel accommodations off NY 28 on the west shore of the lake.[2]
