**Go Ayano** (綾野 剛, *Ayano Gō*; born January 26, 1982) is a Japanese actor.[2]

## Career

Ayano was featured in several roles beginning in 2003. In 2009, he appeared in [Takashi Miike](/source/Takashi_Miike)'s *[Crows Zero 2](/source/Crows_Zero_2)*. His role in the film was described by Mark Schilling of *[The Japan Times](/source/The_Japan_Times)* as "a tall, pale-faced, delicately featured boy who looks like [Michael Jackson](/source/Michael_Jackson)'s Japanese cousin, but fights like [Bruce Lee](/source/Bruce_Lee)."[3] He was later cast in [Shun Oguri](/source/Shun_Oguri)'s directorial debut, *Surely Someday* (2010).[4]

Ayano co-starred in Takefumi Tsutsui's *In a Lonely Planet* (2011) with Aya Takeko and Takayo Mimura.[5] He appeared in [Mika Ninagawa](/source/Mika_Ninagawa)'s *[Helter Skelter](/source/Helter_Skelter_(manga))* (2012),[6] and had supporting roles in [Eriko Kitagawa](/source/Eriko_Kitagawa)'s *I Have to Buy New Shoes* (2012)[7] and Shuichi Okita's *[Yokomichi Yonosuke](/source/Yokomichi_Yonosuke)* (2013).[8]

In 2013, Ayano starred in two of his highest profile roles to date: as [George "Joe" Asakura](/source/Science_Ninja_Team_Gatchaman#Characters) in *[Gatchaman](/source/Gatchaman_(film))*, a live-action adaptation of the classic [Tatsunoko Productions](/source/Tatsunoko_Production) anime, and as [Ishikawa Goemon](/source/List_of_Lupin_III_characters#Goemon_Ishikawa_XIII) in *[Lupin III](/source/Lupin_III_(film))*, adapted from the iconic manga by [Monkey Punch](/source/Monkey_Punch) and directed by [Ryuhei Kitamura](/source/Ryuhei_Kitamura).

In 2016, Ayano was cast as the lead character, Nyx Ulric, in the feature film *[Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV](/source/Kingsglaive%3A_Final_Fantasy_XV)*.[9]

## Personal life

On December 31, 2022, Ayano announced that he had married actress [Yui Sakuma](/source/Yui_Sakuma).[10] On March 30, 2024, Ayano and Sakuma jointly announced that they had welcomed their first child.[11]
