'''Glion''' ({{IPA|fr|ɡlijɔ̃}}) is a village in the municipality of [Montreux](/source/Montreux) in the canton of [Vaud](/source/Vaud), [Switzerland](/source/Switzerland).<ref>{{cite web |title=Glion |url=https://hls-dhs-dss.ch/de/articles/013158/2005-11-28/ |website=hls-dhs-dss.ch |access-date=27 June 2025 |language=de}}</ref> The village is located 700 [meters above sea level](/source/meters_above_sea_level), overlooking [Lake Geneva](/source/Lake_Geneva). The position of this village in [Montreux](/source/Montreux) and the Chauderon Gorge made it a tourist destination in the 19th century.

Glion is known for being the first headquarters of the [Glion Institute of Higher Education](/source/Glion_Institute_of_Higher_Education) [hospitality school](/source/hospitality_school). It is also the location of the [Institut Villa Pierrefeu](/source/Institut_Villa_Pierrefeu), Switzerland’s oldest [finishing school](/source/finishing_school), as well as the location of the Swiss chalet and boarding house of London’s [Hill House International Junior School](/source/Hill_House_International_Junior_School), where pupils of the school stay during geography, choir, and ski trips. 

The first conference of the higher education think tank [Glion Colloquium](/source/Glion_Colloquium) was held in Glion.

Glion is also where [Henri Nestlé](/source/Henri_Nestl%C3%A9), founder of [Nestlé](/source/Nestl%C3%A9), died of a heart attack in 1890.
