**Giovanna Fletcher** ([née](/source/N%C3%A9e) **Falcone**, born 29 January 1985) is an English actress, author, podcaster, and presenter. She trained at the [Sylvia Young Theatre School](/source/Sylvia_Young_Theatre_School)[1] and has performed in stage productions in London’s West End, including *[2:22 A Ghost Story](/source/2%3A22_A_Ghost_Story)* and *[Everybody's Talking About Jamie](/source/Everybody's_Talking_About_Jamie)*.[2] Since 2019, she has presented the [CBeebies](/source/CBeebies) series *[The Baby Club](/source/The_Baby_Club)*. ## Early life

Fletcher was born in [Essex](/source/Essex) on 29 January 1985 to an Italian father, Mario, and English mother, Kim. She has two siblings: Giorgina and [Mario Falcone](/source/Mario_Falcone).[4] She attended the performing arts school [Sylvia Young Theatre School](/source/Sylvia_Young_Theatre_School) in [London](/source/London),[5] followed by the [Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance](/source/Rose_Bruford_College).[6]

## Career

### Theatre

Early in her career, Fletcher understudied [Andrea Riseborough](/source/Andrea_Riseborough) in the 2008 production of Ivanov, alongside [Tom Hiddleston](/source/Tom_Hiddleston) and [Kenneth Branagh](/source/Kenneth_Branagh) in the title roles.[7]

In December 2016, Fletcher had her professional concert debut, singing on stage in London's West End in [Alan Menken](/source/Alan_Menken)'s *[A Christmas Carol](/source/A_Christmas_Carol_(musical))* at the [Lyceum Theatre](/source/Lyceum_Theatre%2C_London).[8] In December 2017, she performed in the musical production of her husband's novel *The Christmasaurus* alongside Tom, [Carrie Hope Fletcher](/source/Carrie_Hope_Fletcher), [Harry Judd](/source/Harry_Judd) and [Matt Willis](/source/Matt_Willis).[9]

In 2021, it was announced that Fletcher would be playing Jenny in the [stage play](/source/Stage_play) *[2:22 A Ghost Story](/source/2%3A22_A_Ghost_Story)*.[10] Fletcher has continued to expand her stage career, starring in the UK tour of *Wish You Were Dead*, a stage adaptation of Peter James’ best-selling crime novel.[11] In 2025, Giovanna Fletcher began starring as Rachel Watson in the UK tour of *The Girl on the Train*, a stage adaptation of Paula Hawkins' best-selling novel.[12] The tour commenced on January 13, 2025, at Richmond Theatre in London. Fletcher’s on-screen roles include an uncredited role in *[The Boat That Rocked](/source/The_Boat_That_Rocked)*, as a guest on *[Loose Women](/source/Loose_Women)*, as a contestant on *[All Star Mr & Mrs](/source/All_Star_Mr_%26_Mrs)*, and most recently as the presenter of *The Baby Club* on [CBeebies](/source/CBeebies).[13] She has had appearances on ITV's morning TV show *[Lorraine](/source/Lorraine_(TV_programme))* since 2015, including presenting a segment for the show called *Take 5*.[14] She took part in [series 20 of *I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!*](/source/I'm_a_Celebrity...Get_Me_Out_of_Here!_(British_series_20)).[15] She was announced winner of the series on 4 December 2020.[16] She has also voice roles in the UK versions of animated films including *[Migration](/source/Migration_(2023_film))* (alongside her husband) and *[Smurfs](/source/Smurfs_(film))*.

### Writing

Fletcher in 2017

Fletcher wrote for several magazines, including work experience at *[Heat](/source/Heat_(magazine))*, where she wrote book reviews and copy for their website, and an internship at *[Bliss](/source/Bliss_(magazine))* magazine. Fletcher also worked at *Recognise Magazine*[17] She also has a regular blog feature on *[Hello!](/source/Hello!_(magazine))* magazine's website.[18]

Fletcher's debut novel, *Billy and Me*, was published in 2013, followed by *You're the One That I Want* in 2014. *Dream a Little Dream* was published in 2015, and a fourth novel, *Always with Love* in 2016.[19] In 2017, she published her first non-fiction book, *Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures in Motherhood*, and later that same year, released her fifth novel, *Some Kind of Wonderful*.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

Fletcher has sung in musical performances on several YouTube videos, posted to her husband, Tom's, YouTube channel.
