**Gia Metric** (born April 16, 1992)[1] is the stage name of **Giorgio Triberio**,[2] a Canadian [drag](/source/Drag_(clothing)) performer most known for competing on the [second season](/source/Canada's_Drag_Race_(season_2)) of *[Canada's Drag Race](/source/Canada's_Drag_Race)*.

## Early life

Triberio was born in [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario).[3]

## Career

Gia Metric began her [drag](/source/Drag_(clothing)) career in Toronto.[4] By 2018, she performed at [The Junction](/source/The_Junction_(Vancouver))'s weekly drag showcase in [Vancouver](/source/Vancouver), along with [Kendall Gender](/source/Kendall_Gender) and [Synthia Kiss](/source/Synthia_Kiss).[5] She was named Vancouver's Entertainer of the Year in 2016, and Vancouver's Next Drag Superstar in 2018.[4] Before the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic), she performed in drag 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes as part of the group Brat Pack. After shows were cancelled because of the pandemic, the group hosted a three-hour show on [Instagram](/source/Instagram) called Bounce Back, and Gia Metric worked with [Priyanka](/source/Priyanka_(drag_queen)) to host a [Dua Lipa](/source/Dua_Lipa) album release party on Instagram.[3]

She competed in the [second season](/source/Canada's_Drag_Race_(season_2)) (2021) of *[Canada's Drag Race](/source/Canada's_Drag_Race)*. Referring to her popularity upon entering the drag competition, Bernardo Sim of *[Screen Rant](/source/Screen_Rant)* described Gia Metric as "the queen with a big reputation that everyone is aware of".[6] She placed in the bottom two during the first episode, but was saved from elimination after winning a [lip sync](/source/Lip_sync) against Beth.[7] In the third episode, she played Blue Scarymore in the [slasher film](/source/Slasher_film) *Screech*, a parody of [Drew Barrymore](/source/Drew_Barrymore)'s character in *[Scream](/source/Scream_(franchise))*.[8] She portrayed [Jim Carrey](/source/Jim_Carrey) during the [Snatch Game](/source/Snatch_Game) challenge.[9][10] She placed fourth in the competition.[11][12]

Gia Metric walked in [New York Fashion Week](/source/New_York_Fashion_Week) in 2019.[4] In 2021, she co-hosted *Canada's Drag Race* viewing parties in Toronto and Vancouver.[13] She is scheduled to appear at [RuPaul's DragCon LA](/source/RuPaul's_DragCon_LA) in 2022.[14]

## Personal life

Triberio is based in [Vancouver](/source/Vancouver), as of 2020.[2] Triberio prefers the pronouns *they/them* out of drag and *she/her* in drag.[15]
