# Gething coalfield

The **Gething** is a large coal field located in the western part of [Canada](/source/Canada) in [Alberta](/source/Alberta). Gething represents one of the largest [coal](/source/Coal) reserve in [Canada](/source/Canada) having estimated reserves of 13 billion tonnes of [coal](/source/Coal).[1]
