**Geropotamos** ([Greek](/source/Greek_language): Γεροπόταμος) is a former municipality in the [Rethymno regional unit](/source/Rethymno_(regional_unit)), [Crete](/source/Crete), [Greece](/source/Greece). Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality [Mylopotamos](/source/Mylopotamos%2C_Crete), of which it is a municipal unit.[2] The municipal unit has an area of 194.590 km2 (75.132 sq mi).[3] Population 7,516 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in [Perama](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Perama,_Rethymno&action=edit&redlink=1).
