{{Use dmy dates|date=August 2021}}
There have been three '''baronetcies''' created for descendants of the ancient Lancashire family of '''Gerard'''.

The Baronetcy of '''Gerard of Bryn''' Lancashire was created in the [Baronetage of England](/source/Baronetage_of_England) in 1611 for Thomas Gerard, [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) for [Liverpool](/source/Liverpool_(UK_Parliament_constituency)), [Lancashire](/source/Lancashire_(UK_Parliament_constituency)), and [Wigan](/source/Wigan_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) who was a direct descendant of the family of Bryn.<ref>George Edward Cokayne, ''[https://archive.org/stream/cu31924092524374#page/n43/mode/2up Complete Baronetage]'' Exeter, William Pollard & Co., vol. 1 (1900), p. 21</ref> From him derived a line of baronets that was elevated to the peerage in 1879, when the baronetcy was merged with the title of [Barons Gerard](/source/Baron_Gerard) of Bryn,<ref name=Cok23>Cokayne, ''Complete Baronetage'', 1:23</ref> with which it descends to the present holder, the seventeenth baronet.

The Baronetcy of '''Gerard of Harrow on the Hill''' was created in the Baronetage of England on 12 April 1620 for Gilbert Gerard of Flambards, [Harrow on the Hill](/source/Harrow_on_the_Hill), [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex), (a grand-nephew of [Gilbert Gerard](/source/Gilbert_Gerard_(judge)), [Attorney General](/source/Attorney_General) 1559–81, of [Gerards Bromley](/source/Gerards_Bromley), [Staffordshire](/source/Staffordshire)) who was [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) for [Wigan](/source/Wigan_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1614, [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1621–48 and [Lancaster](/source/Lancaster_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1660. His son Francis, the second Baronet represented [Seaford](/source/Seaford_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1641–48, [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1659 and [Bossiney](/source/Bossiney_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) in 1660. His son Charles, third Baronet, was the member for [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1685–95 and [Cockermouth](/source/Cockermouth_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) 1695–98. His two brothers followed as fourth and fifth Baronets but the Baronetcy was extinct on the death of the latter in 1716. The Flambards estate passed to the daughter of the third Baronet and was sold off in 1767.<ref name=Cok142-3>Cokayne, ''[https://archive.org/stream/cu31924092524374#page/n165/mode/2up Complete Baronetage]'' 1:142-143</ref>

The Baronetcy of '''Gerard of Fiskerton, Lincolnshire''' was created on 17 November 1666 for Gilbert Gerard a great-grandson of Gilbert Gerard, Attorney General. His second wife was Mary Cosin, daughter of [John Cosin](/source/John_Cosin) the [Bishop of Durham](/source/Bishop_of_Durham). Sir Gilbert acquired an estate at Gateshead Durham and was elected Member of Parliament for [Northallerton](/source/Northallerton_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) in 1661. He was appointed by his father in law as [High Sheriff of Durham](/source/High_Sheriff_of_Durham) in 1665. He was buried in [York Minster](/source/York_Minster) in 1687.
