**Geraldton** is the central suburb of the [City of Greater Geraldton](/source/City_of_Greater_Geraldton) in the [Mid West](/source/Mid_West_(Western_Australia)) region of [Western Australia](/source/Western_Australia).

## Demographics

As of the [2021 Australian census](/source/2021_Australian_census), 3,246 people resided in Geraldton,[3] up from 3,148 in the [2016 census](/source/2016_Australian_census).[4] The [median](/source/Median) age of persons in Golden Gully was 47 years. There were fewer males than females, with 47.2% of the population male and 52.8% female. The average household size was 2 people per household.[3]
