'''George Richard Pullinger''' (14 March 1920 – 4 August 1982) was an English [cricket](/source/cricket)er.  Pullinger was a right-arm [fast-medium](/source/Fast_bowling) bowler and tail-end right-handed [batsman](/source/Batsman_(cricket)).  He was born in [Islington](/source/Islington), London.

An [amateur](/source/Amateur_status_in_first-class_cricket), Pullinger made his [first-class](/source/first-class_cricket) debut for [Essex](/source/Essex_County_Cricket_Club) against [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_County_Cricket_Club) in the [1949 County Championship](/source/1949_County_Championship) as cover for [Ken Preston](/source/Ken_Preston).<ref name="OBIT">{{cite web|url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/wisdenalmanack/content/story/228603.html|title=Wisden - Obituaries in 1985|work=[Wisden Cricketers' Almanack](/source/Wisden_Cricketers'_Almanack)|date=5 December 2005 |publisher=ESPNcricinfo|accessdate=20 September 2011}}</ref> Available for only the first half of the [1949 season](/source/1949_English_cricket_season), he made fifteen further appearances.
