# George Feigenbaum

**George Feigenbaum** (July 2, 1929 – December 25, 2000) was an American professional [basketball](/source/Basketball) player. He was a [point guard](/source/Point_guard) who played two seasons in the [National Basketball Association](/source/National_Basketball_Association) (NBA) as a member of the [Baltimore Bullets](/source/Baltimore_Bullets_(1944%E2%80%931954)) and the [Milwaukee Hawks](/source/Milwaukee_Hawks).

Feigenbaum was born in [Binghamton, New York](/source/Binghamton,_New_York), on July 2, 1929, and was raised in [Brooklyn](/source/Brooklyn). He graduated from [New Utrecht High School](/source/New_Utrecht_High_School) where he was named first team All-[PSAL](/source/PSAL) and led the league in scoring his senior season. He was recruited to the [University of Kentucky](/source/University_of_Kentucky) [basketball team](/source/Kentucky_Wildcats_men's_basketball) where he played under coach [Adolph Rupp](/source/Adolph_Rupp). Feigenbaum's college career finished at [Long Island University](/source/Long_Island_University).

Besides his two seasons in the NBA, Feigenbaum also played in the [Eastern Professional Basketball League](/source/Eastern_Professional_Basketball_League) (EPBL) and the [American Basketball League](/source/American_Basketball_League_(1925%E2%80%9355)) (ABA). He was selected to the All-EPBL Second Team while playing for the Williamsport Billies in 1954.[1]

After retiring from professional basketball he started a [plumbing](/source/Plumbing) company in New York City. He died on December 25, 2000, and was survived by his wife, Francine Feigenbaum, and three children.[2]
