# George Everts

**George Everts** was a member of the [Wisconsin State Assembly](/source/Wisconsin_State_Assembly) in 1883.[1] He was later an unsuccessful candidate for the Assembly in 1888, losing to [Benjamin Charles Garside](/source/Benjamin_Charles_Garside). Additionally, he had been town clerk of [Granville, Wisconsin](/source/Granville,_Wisconsin), and a county supervisor of [Milwaukee County, Wisconsin](/source/Milwaukee_County,_Wisconsin). He was a [Democrat](/source/Democratic_Party_of_Wisconsin). Everts was born on August 8, 1842, in Granville.
