# Georg Niermann

**Georg Niermann** (born 8 March 1937) is a West German [rower](/source/Rowing_(sport)) who represented the [United Team of Germany](/source/United_Team_of_Germany). He competed at the [1960 Summer Olympics](/source/1960_Summer_Olympics) in [Rome](/source/Rome) with the [men's coxless four](/source/Rowing_at_the_1960_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_coxless_four) where they were eliminated in the round one repêchage.[1][2] In 1958 he was rewarded with the [Silbernes Lorbeerblatt](/source/Silbernes_Lorbeerblatt).[3]
