# Georg Jacobsen

**Georg Jacobsen** (17 September 1887 – 14 February 1976) was a Danish painter.

Jacobsen studied under [Viggo Johansen](/source/Viggo_Johansen) at the [Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts](/source/Royal_Danish_Academy_of_Fine_Arts) in [Copenhagen](/source/Copenhagen) from 1906 to 1911. He later spent time in Paris, from 1919 to 1935, as well as Italy and Spain. From 1935 to 1940 he worked at the [Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts](/source/Norwegian_National_Academy_of_Fine_Arts). He is represented with six works in the [National Gallery of Norway](/source/National_Gallery_of_Norway).[1]
