# Georg Amberger

**Georg Wilhelm Amberger** (31 July 1890 – 6 February 1949) was a [German](/source/German_Empire) [track and field athlete](/source/Track_and_field) who competed in the [1912 Summer Olympics](/source/1912_Summer_Olympics).[1]

In 1912, he was eliminated in the first round of the [1500 metres competition](/source/Athletics_at_the_1908_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_1500_metres). He was also a member of the German team which was eliminated in the first round of the [3000 metres team race](/source/Athletics_at_the_1912_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_3000_metres_team_race) by Sweden.[2]
