# Geocarpon

***Geocarpon*** is a genus of [flowering plants](/source/Flowering_plant) in the carnation family, [Caryophyllaceae](/source/Caryophyllaceae). It includes seven species native to North America, from the eastern subarctic (including Greenland) through the eastern, southeastern, and central United States.[1]
