He played in [Major League Baseball](/source/Major_League_Baseball) as a right-handed [pitcher](/source/pitcher). Born in [Baltimore, Maryland](/source/Baltimore%2C_Maryland), he pitched in nine games for the [Brooklyn Superbas](/source/Brooklyn_Superbas) during the 1901 and 1902 baseball seasons. He later became a scout for the [New York Yankees](/source/New_York_Yankees) under manager [Joe McCarthy](/source/Joe_McCarthy_(manager)). He died at age 66 in New York City.
