'''Eugene Louis Corbett''' (October 25, 1913 – January 28, 2009) was an American [first baseman](/source/first_baseman) in [Major League Baseball](/source/Major_League_Baseball) who played for the [Philadelphia Phillies](/source/Philadelphia_Phillies) between {{mlby|1936}} and {{mlby|1938}}. Born in [Winona, Minnesota](/source/Winona%2C_Minnesota), he batted [left-handed](/source/left-handed) and threw [right-handed](/source/right-handed).

Corbett played with the Phillies in part of three seasons. In a 37-game career, he was a .120 [hitter](/source/Batting_average_(baseball)) (13-for-108) with two [home run](/source/home_run)s and 10 [RBI](/source/Run_batted_in), including 12 [runs](/source/Run_(baseball)) and three [doubles](/source/Double_(baseball)). Following his majors career, he was traded for first baseman/outfielder [Phil Weintraub](/source/Phil_Weintraub) and played for the [Baltimore Orioles](/source/Baltimore_Orioles_(minor_league)) of the [International League](/source/International_League).

Corbett was the last living position player (non-pitcher) to have played at [Baker Bowl](/source/Baker_Bowl), the Phillies home ballpark between May 2, {{mlby|1895}}, and June 30, 1938, while a member of the Phillies.
