# Gavin Liddle

**Gavin Liddle** (born 9 May 1963) is an English former [footballer](/source/Association_football) who made 33 appearances in [the Football League](/source/The_Football_League) playing as a [full back](/source/Full_back_(association_football)) for [Darlington](/source/Darlington_F.C.) in the 1980s. He also played [non-league football](/source/Non-league_football) for clubs including [Spennymoor United](/source/Spennymoor_United),[2] [Bishop Auckland](/source/Bishop_Auckland_F.C.),[3] [Harrogate Town](/source/Harrogate_Town_F.C.),[4] [Birtley Town](/source/Birtley_Town_F.C.),[5] [Washington Nissan](/source/Sunderland_Nissan_F.C.),[6] and Red House WMC.[7] He went into coaching and management at a local level, as [player-manager](/source/Player-manager) of Birtley Town,[8] manager of Harrogate Town,[4][9] coach and then for four years manager of Washington Nissan, with whom he won two [Wearside League](/source/Wearside_Football_League) titles,[10][11] and manager of Prudhoe.[12][13]
