**Gary Ross Richard** (born October 9, 1965) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Pittsburgh Panthers](/source/Pittsburgh_Panthers_football).

Richard was born Gary Ross Richard on October 9, 1965, in [Denver, Colorado](/source/Denver,_Colorado).[1]

## Career

Richard was selected in the seventh round of the [1988 NFL draft](/source/1988_NFL_draft) by the [Green Bay Packers](/source/Green_Bay_Packers) and spent that season with the team. He played at the collegiate level at the [University of Pittsburgh](/source/University_of_Pittsburgh).[2]
