==Biography==
Dop was born in [Fort Campbell, Kentucky](/source/Fort_Campbell%2C_Kentucky), the son of a military father, and moved around a lot. He got a BS degree from [North Central University](/source/North_Central_University) in [Minneapolis](/source/Minneapolis), Minnesota, and a Master's from [University of Nebraska at Kearney](/source/University_of_Nebraska_at_Kearney), and then an MFA from Nebraska.

Dop was writer in residence for eight years at North Central University. He is currently an assistant professor at [Randolph College](/source/Randolph_College) in [Lynchburg, Virginia](/source/Lynchburg%2C_Virginia).

Dop has been published in journals such as ''[New Letters](/source/New_Letters)'', ''[Prairie Schooner](/source/Prairie_Schooner)'', ''[North American Review](/source/North_American_Review)'', and ''[The New York Quarterly](/source/The_New_York_Quarterly)''.
