**Garland Gbelle** (born 16 December 1992) is a French professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder_(association_football)) for [Ligue 3](/source/Ligue_3) club [Concarneau](/source/US_Concarneau).

## Personal life

Garland Gbelle was born in [Montbéliard](/source/Montb%C3%A9liard) in eastern France and has [French nationality](/source/French_nationality_law).[1] He is of Ivorian descent.[2]

## Career

Gbelle trained with *Cercle Paul-Bert Bréqugny-Rennes* and started his senior career with [Dinan-Léhon FC](/source/Dinan-L%C3%A9hon_FC) at the fifth level of French football in 2012. Noticed as part of the team which progressed to the last 64 of the [2014–15 Coupe de France](/source/2014%E2%80%9315_Coupe_de_France), he was signed by [Championnat National](/source/Championnat_National) side [Luçon FC](/source/Lu%C3%A7on_FC) in the summer of 2015. When the club went bankrupt in the summer of 2016, he signed for [Les Herbiers](/source/Les_Herbiers_VF) at the same level. In the summer of 2017 he moved to a third National club, [Cholet](/source/SO_Cholet).[3]

On 18 June 2018, Gbelle signed his first professional contract with [Paris FC](/source/Paris_FC) in [Ligue 2](/source/Ligue_2).[4] Gbelle made his professional debut with Paris FC in a 0–0 (4–3) [Coupe de la Ligue](/source/Coupe_de_la_Ligue) penalty shootout win over [AC Ajaccio](/source/AC_Ajaccio) on 14 August 2018.[5] In June 2019, he left the club, having not made a single appearance in the league, re-signing for Cholet on a two-year deal, with an optional extension of one year should the club win promotion.[6]

After Cholet failed to challenge for promotion during the [2019–20 season](/source/2019%E2%80%9320_Championnat_National), Gbelle left to seek promotion with [SC Lyon](/source/Lyon_La_Duch%C3%A8re) in June 2020.[7] SC Lyon would go on to finish last in the Championnat National in the [2020–21 season](/source/2020%E2%80%9321_Championnat_National), being the only team to suffer relegation.[8]

On 9 June 2021, Gbelle signed for recently-promoted Ligue 2 side [Quevilly-Rouen](/source/US_Quevilly-Rouen).[9] He eventually became the club's captain.[10]

On 13 July 2024, Gbelle signed for [Cypriot First Division](/source/Cypriot_First_Division) club [Nea Salamis Famagusta](/source/Nea_Salamis_Famagusta_FC).[10]
