# Garber Sandstone

The **Garber Sandstone** is a [geologic formation](/source/Formation_(geology)) from the [Permian](/source/Permian) [Period](/source/Period_(geology)) in [Oklahoma](/source/Oklahoma). It serves as an important [aquifer](/source/Aquifer), the Garber-Wellington Aquifer, in [Logan](/source/Logan_County,_Oklahoma), [Oklahoma](/source/Oklahoma_County,_Oklahoma), and [Cleveland](/source/Cleveland_County,_Oklahoma) counties of central Oklahoma.[2]

The upper portion of the Garber is associated with extensive [baryte](/source/Baryte) mineralization associated with [desert rose](/source/Desert_rose_(crystal)) occurrences in the outcrop area.[3]
