**Gappaz** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): گپز)[a] is a village in [Safiabad Rural District](/source/Safiabad_Rural_District)[4] of the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Bam_and_Safiabad_County))[b] in [Bam and Safiabad County](/source/Bam_and_Safiabad_County), [North Khorasan province, Iran](/source/North_Khorasan_province).

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 157 in 34 households, when it was in [Bam and Safiabad District](/source/Central_District_(Bam_and_Safiabad_County))[c] of [Esfarayen County](/source/Esfarayen_County).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 163 people in 39 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 138 people in 39 households.[2]

In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of [Bam and Safiabad County](/source/Bam_and_Safiabad_County) and renamed the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Bam_and_Safiabad_County)).[5]
