The '''Gamsberg''' is a [mountain](/source/mountain) in the [Appenzell Alps](/source/Appenzell_Alps), overlooking the region of [Walenstadt](/source/Walenstadt) in the canton of [St. Gallen](/source/Canton_of_St._Gallen). Located in the [Alvier](/source/Alvier_(mountain)) group, it is the culminating point of the range lying between [Lake Walenstadt](/source/Lake_Walenstadt) and [Toggenburg](/source/Toggenburg).

The summit is relatively difficult to access. There is no trail leading to the top.

The Gamsberg is part of the Alvier chain ({{lang|de|Alvierkette}} or ''{{ill|Alviergruppe|de|Alviergruppe}}''), located southeast of the [Churfirsten](/source/Churfirsten), together with the (from west to east): [Fulfirst](/source/Fulfirst), [Alvier](/source/Alvier_(mountain)), [Gauschla](/source/Gauschla) and [Gonzen](/source/Gonzen), among others.
