It is 20 km from the city of [Muzaffargarh](/source/Muzaffargarh), near [Chok Godar](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chok_Godar&action=edit&redlink=1).

## Dominant tribe and chief

Dominant tribe is [Sohrani](/source/Sohrani) a sub-tribe of [Baloch](/source/Baloch_people) tribe. This village was established about 250 years ago when [Ghulam Hussain Sohrani](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ghulam_Hussain_Sohrani&action=edit&redlink=1) migrated here during great Baloch Wars. The most popular chief was Sardar Allah Dad Khan Sohrani (late) and Dr. [Faiz Bakhsh Khan Sohrani](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Faiz_Bakhsh_Khan_Sohrani&action=edit&redlink=1) who died in a roadside accident on 29.10.1998.

Its population is 1,000 people with 49% males and 51% females.
