**Gamba Cole** is a British actor. He is known for his appearance in the British television series *[The Outlaws](/source/The_Outlaws_(2021_TV_series))*.

## Early life

Born in [Bristol](/source/Bristol), he lived in the [St Paul’s](/source/St_Pauls,_Bristol) area of Bristol before moving to London. Cole studied a BTEC in performing arts at [Richmond upon Thames College](/source/Richmond_upon_Thames_College), London.[1]

## Career

Cole worked as a security guard before his acting career progressed in 2014, when he caught the eye of actor/director Clint Dyer. Dyer asked him audition for a play he was directing at the Theatre Stratford East called *Kingston 14* and subsequently helped him to sign up for an acting agency.[2][3]

Cole’s screen acting credits have since included *[Death in Paradise](/source/Death_in_Paradise_(TV_series))*.[4] He also appeared in *[A Discovery of Witches](/source/A_Discovery_of_Witches_(TV_series))* in which he appeared with [Matthew Goode](/source/Matthew_Goode) and *[Guerilla](/source/Guerrilla_(TV_series))* with [Idris Elba](/source/Idris_Elba) and [Freida Pinto](/source/Freida_Pinto). His film credits include *[The Protégé](/source/The_Prot%C3%A9g%C3%A9)* with [Samuel L. Jackson](/source/Samuel_L._Jackson) and [Michael Keaton](/source/Michael_Keaton).[5]

He has a lead role in the [Stephen Merchant](/source/Stephen_Merchant) led comedy-drama series *[The Outlaws](/source/The_Outlaws_(2021_TV_series))* alongside an ensemble cast including [Christopher Walken](/source/Christopher_Walken) and [Eleanor Tomlinson](/source/Eleanor_Tomlinson).[6] This role continued into a second season as the character expanded his horizons,[7] and a third series was broadcast from 30 May 2024.[8]

In 2025, he portrayed [Raheem Sterling](/source/Raheem_Sterling) in [James Graham](/source/James_Graham_(playwright)) stage play *[Dear England](/source/Dear_England)* at the [Olivier Theatre](/source/Olivier_Theatre) in London.[9]

## Personal life

Cole is a keen football fan.[10]
