# Galkan HC

**Hockey Club Galkan** (Turkmen: *Galkan hokkeý topary*, Russian: Хоккейный клуб Галкан; English: *Shield*), is a [Turkmen](/source/Turkmenistan) professional [ice hockey](/source/Ice_hockey) team based in [Ashgabat](/source/Ashgabat), [Turkmenistan](/source/Turkmenistan). It is the team of the [Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan](/source/Ministry_of_Internal_Affairs_of_Turkmenistan).[3] The first Turkmenistan ice hockey champion (2013/2014),[4] the first owner of the Hockey Cup of the Turkmenistan Ministry of the Interior (2013).[5]
