The **Gaisspitze** (also called *Geißspitze*[1]) is a cone shaped mountain in the [Verwall Alps](/source/Verwall_Alps) in the [Austrian](/source/Austria) state of [Tyrol](/source/Tyrol_(state)) and north of the municipality [Galtür](/source/Galt%C3%BCr). It has an elevation of 2,779 [m (AA)](/source/Metres_above_the_Adriatic).

The nearest taller mountain is the [Glatter Berg](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Glatter_Berg&action=edit&redlink=1) (2866 m), about 1 km north.[2] They are separated via the [col](/source/Col) [Muttenjoch](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Muttenjoch&action=edit&redlink=1) (2620 m).[2]

There are two [alpine club huts](/source/Alpine_club_hut) nearby:
