**Gaibandha-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). Since 13th February, 2026. [Md. Abdul Karim](/source/Md._Abdul_Karim_(Gaibandha_politician)) is the current member of Parliament, he is a candidate from the [Bangladesh Jaamat-e-Islami](/source/Bangladesh_Jamaat-e-Islami) party of Bangladesh.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Gaibandha Sadar Upazila](/source/Gaibandha_Sadar_Upazila).

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from the Dinajpur-2 constituency when the former Dinajpur District was split into three districts:[Panchagarh](/source/Panchagarh_District), [Thakurgaon](/source/Thakurgaon_District), and [Dinajpur](/source/Dinajpur_District%2C_Bangladesh).
