The **Fyksesund Bridge** ([Norwegian](/source/Norwegian_language): *Fyksesundbrua*) is a [suspension road bridge](/source/Suspension_bridge) in [Kvam Municipality](/source/Kvam_Municipality) in [Vestland](/source/Vestland) county, [Norway](/source/Norway).

The bridge spans the [Fyksesund](/source/Fyksesund) fjord on [Norwegian County Road 7](/source/Norwegian_County_Road_7), which goes between the villages of [Øystese](/source/%C3%98ystese) and [Ålvik](/source/%C3%85lvik). The bridge is 344 metres (1,129 ft) long and the largest span is 230 metres (750 ft).[1] It was designed by bridge engineer [Olaf Stang](/source/Olaf_Stang) (1871-1956). The bridge was opened on October 9, 1937 by [Olav](/source/Olav_V), the [Crown Prince of Norway](/source/Crown_Prince_of_Norway).[2][3][4][5][6]

Shortly after opening, the bridge suffered aerodynamic-related structural problems, these were corrected by improvements installed in 1945.[7]
