Fuxingmen means "Gate of Revival". An overpass over the ring road exists with the same name.{{CN|date=November 2025}}

[Beijing subway](/source/Beijing_subway) lines [1](/source/Line_1%2C_Beijing_Subway) and [2](/source/Line_2%2C_Beijing_Subway) have an interchange stop at [Fuxingmen Station](/source/Fuxingmen_Station_(Beijing_Subway)).  Several public buses serve the area as well.{{CN|date=November 2025}}

The commercial centres of [Xidan](/source/Xidan) and [Beijing Financial Street](/source/Beijing_Financial_Street) are not far away. Fuxingmen also marks the western end of [Fuxingmen Inner Street](/source/Fuxingmen_Inner_Street), which is a western extension of [West Chang'an Avenue](/source/West_Chang'an_Avenue), and the eastern starting point of [Fuxingmen Outer Street](/source/Fuxingmen_Outer_Street).{{CN|date=November 2025}}
