# Fuse, Shimane

**Fuse** (布施村, *Fuse-mura*) was a [village](/source/List_of_villages_in_Japan) located in [Oki District](/source/Oki_District,_Shimane), [Shimane Prefecture](/source/Shimane_Prefecture), [Japan](/source/Japan).

As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 520 and a [density](/source/Population_density) of 28.03 persons per km2. The total area was 18.55 km2.

On October 1, 2004, Fuse, along with the town of [Saigō](/source/Saig%C5%8D,_Shimane), and the villages of [Goka](/source/Goka,_Shimane) and [Tsuma](/source/Tsuma,_Shimane) (all from [Oki District](/source/Oki_District,_Shimane)), was merged to create the town of [Okinoshima](/source/Okinoshima,_Shimane).[1]
