**Frozza Orseolo** (1015 – 17 February 1071) was a Margravine of Austria by marriage to [Adalbert, Margrave of Austria](/source/Adalbert%2C_Margrave_of_Austria). She was also a member of the Venetian [House of Orseolo](/source/Orseolo).

## Life

Frozza was born in Venice as a daughter of Doge [Otto Orseolo](/source/Otto_Orseolo) and his wife, Princess [Grimelda of Hungary](/source/Grimelda_of_Hungary).[1]

Her father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all [Doges of Venice](/source/Doges_of_Venice), and were members of the [House of Orseolo](/source/Orseolo), whose ancestors were the first historical Doges of Venice, the [Ipatos](/source/Orso_Ipato).[2]

Her brother was [Peter the Venetian](/source/Peter%2C_King_of_Hungary), King of Hungary[3] and she was possibly a sister-in-law of [Judith of Schweinfurt](/source/Judith_of_Schweinfurt).

She married [Adalbert, Margrave of Austria](/source/Adalbert%2C_Margrave_of_Austria), of the [House of Babenberg](/source/House_of_Babenberg), and later took the name of [Adelheid](/source/Adelheid). They had 2 sons: Leopold & [Ernest, Margrave of Austria](/source/Ernest%2C_Margrave_of_Austria).[4]
