He played in one first-class match for [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_County_Cricket_Club) and also one first-class match for [Cambridge](/source/Cambridge_University_Cricket_Club) as a [right-handed batsman](/source/batsman) in 1939. In his three innings, he had one score of 75 and two of nought.
