# FreeX

**FreeX GmbH** (usually styled **freeX**) was a German [aircraft manufacturer](/source/Aircraft_manufacturer) based in [Lenggries](/source/Lenggries) and previously located in [Egling](/source/Egling). The company specialized in the design and manufacture of [paragliders](/source/Paraglider) in the form of ready-to-fly aircraft.[1][2]

The company was founded about 1994 and seems to gone out of business in about 2013, as the website started returning database errors.[3]

FreeX was a [Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung](/source/Gesellschaft_mit_beschr%C3%A4nkter_Haftung), a [limited liability company](/source/Limited_liability_company).[2]

The company produced a wide range of paragliders, including the competition [Arrow](/source/FreeX_Arrow), intermediate [Blade](/source/FreeX_Blade), [Moon](/source/FreeX_Moon) and [Blast](/source/FreeX_Blast), the mountaineering descent [FXT](/source/FreeX_FXT) wing, the two-place [Gemini](/source/FreeX_Gemini) and the beginner [Joker](/source/FreeX_Joker).[1]
