# Frederick Boylstein

**Frederick Boylstein** (March 15, 1902[1] – February 28, 1972) was a [lightweight](/source/Lightweight) [professional](/source/Professional) [boxer](/source/Boxing) from the [United States](/source/United_States), who competed in the 1920s. He won a [bronze medal](/source/Bronze_medal) at the [1924 Summer Olympics](/source/Boxing_at_the_1924_Summer_Olympics) in the [lightweight](/source/Lightweight) division, losing against [Alfredo Copello](/source/Alfredo_Copello) in the semi-finals.[2]

## Pro career

Boylstein turned pro in 1925 and retired in 1930, having won 8, lost, and drawn 1.[3]
