**Thomas Frederick "Fred" Samuel** (8 January 1897 – c. 1941) was a Welsh [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union), and professional [rugby league](/source/Rugby_league) footballer who played in the 1920s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for [Wales](/source/Wales_national_rugby_union_team), and at club level for [New Dock Stars RFC](/source/New_Dock_Stars_RFC), [Llanelli RFC](/source/Llanelli_RFC) and [Mountain Ash RFC](/source/Mountain_Ash_RFC), as a [fullback](/source/Rugby_union_positions#15._Full-back), and club level rugby league (RL) for [Hull FC](/source/Hull_FC) as a .[2]
