==Geography==
It is located {{convert|2|km}} north of the [Santa Lucía River](/source/Santa_Luc%C3%ADa_River) (the border with [Canelones Department](/source/Canelones_Department)) and on the junction of [Route 7](/source/Route_7_(Uruguay)) with Route 94. It is {{convert|96|km}} north of Montevideo and on kilometre 107 of the railroad track Montevideo – Nico Pérez.

==History==
