# Frank Henze

**Frank Henze** (born 1 April 1977 in [Leipzig](/source/Leipzig))[1] is a German [slalom canoeist](/source/Canoe_slalom) who competed at the international level from 1995 to 2013.

He won three medals in the C2 team event at the [ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships](/source/ICF_Canoe_Slalom_World_Championships) with two silvers ([2002](/source/2002_ICF_Canoe_Slalom_World_Championships), [2009](/source/2009_ICF_Canoe_Slalom_World_Championships)) and a bronze ([2010](/source/2010_ICF_Canoe_Slalom_World_Championships)). He won six more medals at the [European Championships](/source/European_Canoe_Slalom_Championships) in the same event (3 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronzes).[2]

At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics) he competed in the [C2 event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_slalom_C-2).[3] He did not advance to the semifinals after finishing 11th in the qualifying round.

His partner in the boat between 1998 and 2002 was [Kai Walter](/source/Kai_Walter). From 2005 to 2013 he competed internationally with [David Schröder](/source/David_Schr%C3%B6der).

His father [Jürgen Henze](/source/J%C3%BCrgen_Henze) was a world champion the C2 team event and his younger brother [Stefan Henze](/source/Stefan_Henze) was a silver medalist from the C2 event at the [2004 Summer Olympics](/source/2004_Summer_Olympics) in [Athens](/source/Athens).
