**Francis William Weldon** [MVO](/source/Royal_Victorian_Order) [MBE](/source/Order_of_the_British_Empire) [MC](/source/Military_Cross) (2 August 1913 – 21 September 1993) was a British [equestrian](/source/Equestrianism) and Olympic champion. He won a team gold medal in *eventing* at the [1956 Summer Olympics](/source/1956_Summer_Olympics) in [Stockholm](/source/Stockholm), and received an individual bronze medal.[1] He became European champion in 1953, 1954 and 1955.

Weldon was a [lieutenant colonel](/source/Lieutenant_colonel) in the [British Army](/source/British_Army) and was Officer Commanding, the King's Troop, [Royal Horse Artillery](/source/Royal_Horse_Artillery).
