F. Scholfield](/source/A._F._Scholfield). ==Life== Jenkinson was born in the town of [Forres](/source/Forres), [Moray](/source/Moray) in Scotland. He was educated at [Marlborough College](/source/Marlborough_College), and matriculated in 1872 at [Trinity College, Cambridge](/source/Trinity_College%2C_Cambridge), where in 1876 he gained a B.A. with a first class in the [Classical Tripos](/source/Classical_Tripos); he graduated M.A. in 1879.
