**Fourphit**, also known as **4-isothiocyanato-PCP**, is an [irreversible](/source/Irreversible_inhibitor) [dopamine transporter](/source/Dopamine_transporter) (DAT) [blocker](/source/Dopamine_reuptake_inhibitor) and a reversible [NMDA receptor antagonist](/source/NMDA_receptor_antagonist).[1][2] It blocks the binding of [methylphenidate](/source/Methylphenidate) to the DAT *[in vitro](/source/In_vitro)*,[1] though apparently not *[in vivo](/source/In_vivo)*.[2] In any case, the drug reduces the [stimulant](/source/Stimulant)-like effects of [cocaine](/source/Cocaine) in animals,[2] whilst producing mostly negligible behavioral effects itself.[2] Fourphit is an [acylating](/source/Acylation) [derivative](/source/Chemical_derivative) of [phencyclidine](/source/Phencyclidine) (PCP) and a [positional isomer](/source/Positional_isomer) of [metaphit](/source/Metaphit) (3-isothiocyanato-PCP).[1]
