**Forward** ([Danish](/source/Danish_language): *Fremad*) was a Danish political party founded in November 2019 by [Simon Emil Ammitzbøll-Bille](/source/Simon_Emil_Ammitzb%C3%B8ll-Bille) and [Christina Egelund](/source/Christina_Egelund), after they in October left the [Liberal Alliance](/source/Liberal_Alliance_(Denmark)).[1][2] Ammitzbøll-Bille was chairman and Egelund vice chairman and political spokesperson.[2] Both had been leading figures in Liberal Alliance prior to the [June election](/source/2019_Danish_general_election), that saw Egelund losing her seat in the [Folketing](/source/Folketing), while Ammitzbøll-Bille was reelected.[1]

Forward characterized itself as a [centrist](/source/Centrism) party based on liberal values, and saw itself as the [centre-right](/source/Centre-right) version of the [Danish Social Liberal Party](/source/Danish_Social_Liberal_Party). The party was [pro-EU](/source/Pro-Europeanism), and advocated for the abolition of two of the Danish [opt-outs](/source/Opt-outs_in_the_European_Union). They supported [Jakob Ellemann-Jensen](/source/Jakob_Ellemann-Jensen), chairman of [Venstre](/source/Venstre_(Denmark)), as prime minister. Their name was inspired by the French [La République En Marche!](/source/La_R%C3%A9publique_En_Marche!).[1]

On 8 October 2020, Simon Emil Amitzbøll-Bille and Christina Egelund announced that Forward was disbanded.[3]
